| Purpose: To build support in the community for Library District #2 of Linn County, LaCygne. To encourage gifts, endowments, bequests, and memorials to the library. To enhance the image, materials, services and facilities of the Library by undertaking specific projects on its behalf. To maintain an association of individuals, civic organizations, businesses, and other groups interested in the promotion and futrue enhancement of the Library. To create public awareness of the activities of the Friends of the LaCygne Library and encourage participation in the organization. To actively support programs and projects of the LaCygne Library including capital expenditures for buildings, equipment, and other special projects approved by the Library Board of Trustees. | Membership: Open to anyone
interested in supporting its purposes. Organizations, clubs, and businesses may
become members. Each individual or organization will be entitled to one
vote at official meetings of the organization.
Suggested donation for membership dues are as follows... $10 Students to age 18 |
Four years have passed since the Friends organization was
formed. We thank you for your suport. The group, though small,
has been active during its first year. Your support made the
following accomplishments possible.

The groups' bylaws filed with the IRS indicate that the
fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th. Membership
donations are due one year from your joining the organization.
Your tax-deductible contributions
will help the Friends group continue to support the activities of the
Library.
